Q: What information is required on my transcript?
A: A transcript is a full history of all the courses a student has taken and that are in progress at an institution. For uploaded documents to be used for admission evaluation, they must include:

*Please note that we cannot accept screenshots of your student portal for evaluation purposes.*

Q: How do I submit documents?
A: Applicants who have attended high school and/or another participating institution(s) in Alberta authorize the University of Calgary to request transcripts on their behalf from Alberta Education and/or the institution.

For all other applicants, as soon as an application is submitted, students are advised to provide unofficial (uploaded) copies of their transcript. Please watch our instructional video for support.

Q: When is the deadline to submit documents?
A:
Supporting documents, such as transcripts, must be received at the University by 11:59 pm (Mountain Time) on the deadlines indicated on our website.

Q: Are official transcripts required?
A: It is possible to receive an admission decision based on unofficial transcripts but we will require official transcripts to finalize admission. A transcript is only considered official if it arrives at our admissions office directly from the issuing institution (your school or ministry).

Q: I'm unable to obtain a copy of my transcript from my institution. What should I do?
A: Please contact apchange@ucalgary.ca and provide us with a detailed explanation and any supporting documentation.
